For this purpose they are rigged e.g. on Weighted WideGap hooks and can be fished snag-free even in weed, woods and water lilies. The long, deep slot on the belly side allows for optimal rigging and bite yield. Of course, the 6" Swimmerz are also a bank on the jig head and can be fished successfully in almost all situations.
